News from the VSG Management Board
Last month VSG member organisations elected four new members to the VSG Management Board. Seven very strong candidates stood for election and following majority support from member organisations, we are delighted to announce that Tony Wafer (Senior Water Safety Partner, RNLI) and Vincent McAlinden (Access & Conservation Committee Member, Mountaineering Ireland) were successful elected, and Adele Masztalerz (Head of Safety Management at Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust) and Dave Liddy (Specialist Advisor for Recreation Safety at Natural Resources Wales) were successfully re-elected to the Board.
We are, however, sorry to be losing Steve Blackford whose term came to an end and Andy Stokes who has decided to step down from the Board. During their tenure on the Board, VSG has witnessed significant change and growth and it would be remiss if we did not thank them for their contributions, advice, wise counsel, and dedication to see the VSG flourish and benefit every member. Both will stay on as VSG members and we look forward to their continuing contribution to the Group.
